A Jacket, T-shirts and some Jewelry!

Here is what I did last week.....First we have.... NL 6610! Not one of those fabulous cup size patterns I'm obsessed with but it didn't matter because I wasn't going to have any kind of closure on this any ways.... This is a lovely light weight green and white tweed given to me by my Great Aunt Mildred in Nashville. And its a great fit! I lined it with some floral cotton my Mom gave me last year while she was cleaning out her huge stash of cotton fabrics! I used 8mm iridescent sequins, 4mm pearls, 6mm pearls and a few 8mm silver sequins for the hand beaded cuffs I wanted to do. And here's the picture I got the ideal from... I made my jacket longer and didn't use the beading on the mandarin collar. I found a great pearl and silver chain belt at Goodwill I plan to make into a necklace and wear with it. This is a purchased long sleeve t-shirt (clearance at Hobby Lobby $3)... I did the screen printing using Simply Screen,, added some crystals.... lovely, stylish and ...

Painted jeans and mermaid apron

Lots I want to post today!!! So I'll make 2 separate posts... The jeans I started this week were finished up Friday... and I am SO happy with them. I'm going to wear them tonight so I'll post a pic of them tomorrow or Monday. This pair seemed very 'labor intensive'! So I am brain fried!!! Instead of using my double needle on the top stitching I used a single need this time which was extra time consuming but I did get better results. Thanks to the dvd, Jeans Couture!!!! If you're thinking of making a pair of jeans please get this DVD... I wish I had got it before I made my other pairs! I'm working on some smaller projects this weekend since the jeans took alot of of me this week. Like this pair of jeans below... no, I didn't make these. They are a really good pair of Ralph Lauren jeans I picked up at Goodwill. They are plain so I decided to paint this panda bear on the upper leg. Isn't he cute??? Didn't take long at all to paint! I'm also goin...

Punch Needle, Fabric painting and Burda 3/08!

I started working on a new punch needle project last night while the Bald Man yelled at Microsoft for 5 hours about Vista.... It seems Vista has decided that it will not recognize my Pfaff card station USB device. It worked perfect for about 3 months, then all of a sudden... just stopped recognizing !!! I loaded my software on to an old lap top with XP and it worked.. so its not Pfaff .. Its that evil Vista!! Anyways... this punch needle kitty appears to be peaking up out of a pocket. I want to make a felted purse with a pocket on the front and applique kitty peeking out the top. I'm going to Goodwill tomorrow with one of my 'sewing challenged' friends and hopefully will be able to find the right sweater to go with it. I also worked on 4 dolls yesterday and will finish them up today! Back in the day... early to mid nineties I was very much into fabric painting. I painted (mid nineties ) this dress I wore to church for Easter. Its Noah's Ark and little painted anima...
