New 'do, New Look... and an old toy!!!

First up,,,, new cut!!!! And I love it!

After awhile of dealing with hair that won't curl, won't go up, looks stringy down, hangs in my face, won't "poof" like I like in the back...

I decided it was more than time for a change.....
5 inches of less hair bringing me down....

I feel fabulous again!

The Bald Man was scared... to say the least. He actually freaked alittle when I showed him how short I wanted it... which was about 2 inches shorter than I got. My wonderful hair stylist, Todd, recommended this length... since I still need it long enough to go into a pony tail... for all my fake hair I love to wear! lol!
Bald Man Loves the hair sooo much though... and doesn't understand why I waited to get it cut??
hmmmm....

Weird Obsession Continues....

This is soooo cute! From 1963! The Kenner Knit o matic!! It came in box, complete with ALL its original accesories.. including the yarn! Gotta love ebay! Right!!!!

Look how cute.... it works and everything!!

New New Look Pattern For me!

I love this coat! and I have the most perfect red tweed fabric for it!!!
Fall sewing is so fun! I can't wait to start on some more "me" sewing.....
Because I'm still working on the salsa dress for the lovely Rhythm dancer, Melanie. Which has to be done by Thursday... and her showcase is Friday! But No pressure!!! lol!!!
And I won't even talk about the sewing work that I have backed up!!!!
Oh well....I wanted to be a busy seamstress and sew for people... so you know I'm loving it!
Halloween is coming up though!!!! and I have so much to do for our costumes!!!!!!! yikes!!!!

Tunisian and Tapestry crochet on the hooks

It seems that no matter what or how many projects I have going one is always Tunisian and one is always a tapestry or fair isle type with color changes or pictures.  I love this tapestry handbag. It’s going to be The perfect bag for October!! The pattern was included in a booklet that cane with a Simply Crochet magazine from the UK. It’s eating a lot of yarn so Caron one pound yarn is perfect! Cause there’s a lot of it and it’s an easy care for acrylic. Handbags tend to get thrown around a lot so washable with all this white is super important when I was choosing a yarn.  I’ll be adding a liner too. And pockets .. I can not have a bag without inside pockets!  For oh so long I’ve wanted to try the double hook Tunisian technique. I have Lily Chins dvd on it but she’s way over my head at this point! This simple pattern is in Interweave crochet magazine fall 2018. Great pattern to get started with!  The Bavarian blanket is still on a hook and will be a long time because ...

I even tried a little dish with 'sweetbreads' and had NO ideal what they were... but it was so good after I found out what they were I didn't even care! Now how many people out there know what they are??? Was I alone at not knowing??? Then we Had a bottle of bubbles... And then, I admit, came home at 11 and went to bed! I was asleep before 12!! and it makes me feel like an old fuddy duddy ! haha !! But who cares! I was all dressed up in a dress that took me 3 weeks to make with a crochet bolero that took like a month!I love wearing this dress and rarely have an occasion for it.... besides I had to get up early the next morning... And face things like this...... at our farm to be.... Now this is actually Sunday when my wonderful parents and niece Brittany stopped by to help.. but the day before it was just me and the...
