Old projects made new, New Challages in Vintage!

Here are the vintage patterns I have found/ordered for the retro jumpsuit I want to make...
Aren't they all so cute???? I love'em!!!!

I have been working on The Bald Man another shirt... its the same style as the last one. Here's the embroidery on the back shoulder of the shirt.
I also but a design on the front shoulder... Its looking good! I am so glad I can make the Bald Man some nice , unique clothes... he's such a big guy its really hard for him to find nice shirts!

For me I'm working on BWOF top 126 from issue 7-01... its a very darling top that has little ties up the front instead of buttons. I made it last year... so its not a challenge but I'm doing it "up"
a bit! Its almost done!
I also have BWOF Bustier 129 from issue 5-03. I have also made it before... but it came out much to small in the bust. Its so hot though I have to try it again... with the bust larger!!! Much!!!!! It also ties up the front for closures.
Also have out to make BWOF 105, issue 7-07. Which... I have made before also.... and I love. Its a casual T in the front with a cute twist in the back... check out the link for it!
So this is like "review week" for me!!! Bald Mans shirt and all the shirts for myself!!!
My challenge is trying to make the more interesting or better fit than the last!
Not to hard. Next project will be something harder... my brain should have recovered from that last pair of jeans by then!
I think trying to sew my vintage jumpsuit may be hard... ofcourse I'm always thinking of the next pair of jeans!!!

Happy Days & Hard Work!

Hope everyone had a fabulous New Years Eve! We had a very nice one... got all dressed up and went to the 5 course dinner event at Chez Liberty... SO GOOD! I even tried a little dish with 'sweetbreads' and had NO ideal what they were... but it was so good after I found out what they were I didn't even care! Now how many people out there know what they are??? Was I alone at not knowing??? Then we Had a bottle of bubbles... And then, I admit, came home at 11 and went to bed! I was asleep before 12!! and it makes me feel like an old fuddy duddy ! haha !! But who cares! I was all dressed up in a dress that took me 3 weeks to make with a crochet bolero that took like a month!I love wearing this dress and rarely have an occasion for it.... besides I had to get up early the next morning... And face things like this...... at our farm to be.... Now this is actually Sunday when my wonderful parents and niece Brittany stopped by to help.. but the day before it was just me and the...

Wrestling Bigg'n... or Brian's BIG match up!

Well yesterday Brian had a wrestling meet and actually wrestled on Varsity... It started at 5:30 way over in Maryville ... we got there at 6 but he still weighed in and everything was fine. However,,,, we sat for an hour and half before he wrestled... there were 4 teams there! Then it was a forfeit... way to weigh the right amount son! The second match up was in about another hour and half with a kid who had about 50 lbs on Brian... he was a bigg'n !!! 205! Brian is 151. And to the Bald Man and my surprise... Brian was fierce! Aggressive, Quick! I usually take a pic.. but I was so shocked I forgot to! Now once Bigg'n maneuvered Brian in a pin position there was no getting out for him and Bigg'n won. But I'm still super proud of him for fighting so hard and aggressive.

Work in Progress Wednesday: Natural Dyeing, organization and new fleece!

Ok! Well I had so much fun posting yesterday's theme post I decided to do one today too! Organization is a big deal for me. I live in a small house but I have big crafty area needs!  I need areas to dye , to store fiber, yarn , to blend fibers and card, to spin, to occasionally sew, to make and store soaps .. and on and on!  Dyeing is done now on my back porch and green house.  I have a stove, stainless steel work table , shelving and screens. Picking and drying fleece also takes place there. Solar dyeing saves time and energy too! Only certain plants will successfully dye this way though. This works well! Gets the dyeing components out of my house kitchen! And gives me a large area to spread out and do several things at once. Organizing work in progress projects has been a challenge until now! No fiber person I know only has one project going at a time. It can get messy and confusing! I try to limit myself to 4 crochet ( or knitting) projects at once. I come up with this...
