In The Animal Kingdom and stuff...

I am a slacker! There... I've admitted to having this problem lately!
No real sewing for 3 days now!!! Not even anything cut out...
I've been reading up on new techniques and planning.. organizing .. does that count for anything?
The Bald Man was off work today. I can't get any real sewing done when he's home! Sunday was hoop making and I worked at the spa Mon.
I did embroidery these cute dish towels though..... I wanted to give something to my friend who invited me over to her house for lunch tomorrow.
I've also been distracted by my new mini obsession... and there's tons of Hoola Hoop Trick 'how to's' on youtube.com
I'm not afraid to say this... hoola hooping with the fancy tricks and dance stuff is HARD! and I am terrible at it! My waist is sore! my hand is sore from trying to 'lasso' it up, AND I've even hit myself in the head a few times.. whacked my calves! Pathetic!

Prada is doing very well here in her new home. She's been with us a week now. She likes her arch enemies, the poodles, no better.
In fact she never comes down stairs and avoids them all together. The aren't allowed up stairs...
and they know it!
Although a few times today 2-Pac ran upstairs a couple of times and barked at her... then run back down... quickly!!! Knowing he's going to get in trouble by us and he knows she'll whoop his little poodle butt if he hangs around!
Here she is all lounged out on my cutting table.

Here below is a short video of my toy poodles acting absolutely insane over a toy motorcycle!
My sweet toy poodles are forever entertaining... no matter what Prada thinks....

A Great Weekend!

The Bald Man and I had a fantastic weekend! Friday we just kinda hung around the house.. watched a movie. Saturday was 'going out' night! We went couple of places and then ended up at the Mirage. Its been awhile since I've been there but we told Rach we would come see her dance. Here she is to the right in a bra and belt I made which looks great on her!! I hate to say it but I really don't like watching bellydancers after all the years of dancing myself and watching them. I find it boring... unless the dancer has what I call the "it" factor. Let me tell ya! Rach has the "it" factor! She sparkles and grows when she dances. Most people can learn to dance... but not everyone shines when they do it. I'll be back to see Rach dance again! Below we have a pic of Capt. Bald Man! Yesterday we took one of the boats out for a joy ride on Lake Loudon. We had fun... and some surprises along the way!! It was a beautiful day to be on the lake!!! Next Sunda...

New Machine!!! and getting organized!

So with the money I made off of a couple of costumes I bought this! And its love!!!! Adding a new machine means re-organizing my sewing rooms to make it work... so my stash got re organized too... check out how neat it looks now!! Actually we're re organizing alot of the rooms in our house... here's the Bald Man in his new office! LOL!!! You can't even walk in there! Also.. I joined the Sew Craft Blog ! I'm in group three and looking forward to meeting new seamstresses and fiber artists!

Tunisian and Tapestry crochet on the hooks

It seems that no matter what or how many projects I have going one is always Tunisian and one is always a tapestry or fair isle type with color changes or pictures.  I love this tapestry handbag. It’s going to be The perfect bag for October!! The pattern was included in a booklet that cane with a Simply Crochet magazine from the UK. It’s eating a lot of yarn so Caron one pound yarn is perfect! Cause there’s a lot of it and it’s an easy care for acrylic. Handbags tend to get thrown around a lot so washable with all this white is super important when I was choosing a yarn.  I’ll be adding a liner too. And pockets .. I can not have a bag without inside pockets!  For oh so long I’ve wanted to try the double hook Tunisian technique. I have Lily Chins dvd on it but she’s way over my head at this point! This simple pattern is in Interweave crochet magazine fall 2018. Great pattern to get started with!  The Bavarian blanket is still on a hook and will be a long time because ...
