The RTW Copied OutFit!

I wanted a new outfit to wear out last night... so I made one.... I even made a leather jeans tag! And I took pictures as I copied the jeans for some of you who requested I do so... I just have to try and put them in order now!

These jeans are copied from the pants below with the leather detail... They have always been a favorite pair but not a pair I can wear often because of the leather... So my copied pair is much more casual... not wild about my denim choice... but as I've complained before... I need a good denim source!!! And cuter rivets.... The shirt also a copied fav.. was really easy to copy.. didn't take that long to make the pattern pieces and it sewed up fast! The original shirt has the lace inset, which I didn't do... again I was trying to make it more casual... The Bald Man says there's nothing casual about my copied shirt. I think maybe its alittle more though.... I love the fabric used for it... 4 way stretch, with a glitter sheen!

The fit is alittle different in mine because I didn't use stretch denim which is what the originals are... still a good fit though... better than I would have got using a pattern!

I very happy with my results!!! And going through my closet to see what I could copy next!!! Since I started doing this copy rtw thing I look at my existing clothes like they're potential patterns now!!

I have some sew time today... and I might bring out the pattern stash... or maybe a BWOF... don't know.... decisions!!! I have quite a few RTW shirts that I love and would love to have in different colors and fabrics... sewing is just SO FUN!

Tunisian and Tapestry crochet on the hooks

It seems that no matter what or how many projects I have going one is always Tunisian and one is always a tapestry or fair isle type with color changes or pictures. I love this tapestry handbag. It’s going to be The perfect bag for October!! The pattern was included in a booklet that cane with a Simply Crochet magazine from the UK. It’s eating a lot of yarn so Caron one pound yarn is perfect! Cause there’s a lot of it and it’s an easy care for acrylic. Handbags tend to get thrown around a lot so washable with all this white is super important when I was choosing a yarn. I’ll be adding a liner too. And pockets .. I can not have a bag without inside pockets! For oh so long I’ve wanted to try the double hook Tunisian technique. I have Lily Chins dvd on it but she’s way over my head at this point! Happy Days & Hard Work!

Hope everyone had a fabulous New Years Eve! We had a very nice one... got all dressed up and went to the 5 course dinner event at Chez Liberty... SO GOOD! I even tried a little dish with 'sweetbreads' and had NO ideal what they were... but it was so good after I found out what they were I didn't even care! Now how many people out there know what they are??? Was I alone at not knowing??? Then we Had a bottle of bubbles... And then, I admit, came home at 11 and went to bed! I was asleep before 12!! and it makes me feel like an old fuddy duddy ! haha !! But who cares! I get new tops, the Bald Man gets a shirt!

Below is Burda 8116. A super easy tank top with a wrap topper. The pants are from BWOF. This was such an easy pattern!!! I made the below tank and topper in an hour... seriously! Ofcourse I must say having a cover stitch machine greatly speeds up sewing knits. In fact the day after I made these... I made 2 more tanks, another topper.... and the below view from the same pattern... a simple mock wrap top. The jeans were made last year from a pattern I copied from rtw. Anyways for those of you looking for a quick project... gotta get this pattern! Below here is NL 6429. It was easy too.... I actually made this last fall and never got to wear it...
