A purse I hated making... and a new SWAP shirt!

This purse to the left here is from Butterick pattern 4822
and I hate it... not the purse .. for some reason I hated making it! I had to make myself finish it! I hate UFOs... so I pulled through it... then I threw away this part of the pattern... never to be made again by me... I'd like to try the ruffle purse that is included in this pattern.. that looks like something I would enjoy making... the peacock my mighty machine did on this purse is really pretty though.

Then I started on another red SWAP top... first I had my mighty machine to embroidery this little design... it was a challange because this fabric is a super light weight knit! Pain in the a**!!! I threw away 3 other tries before this one finally sewed out all the way!

Tomorrow I will post a pic of the completed shirt.. I like it alot!

I have to work on OPS (other peoples stuff) tomorrow and maybe some little prizes for my upcoming party on FRIDAY!

Tunisian and Tapestry crochet on the hooks

It seems that no matter what or how many projects I have going one is always Tunisian and one is always a tapestry or fair isle type with color changes or pictures. I love this tapestry handbag. It’s going to be The perfect bag for October!! The pattern was included in a booklet that cane with a Simply Crochet magazine from the UK. It’s eating a lot of yarn so Caron one pound yarn is perfect! Cause there’s a lot of it and it’s an easy care for acrylic. Handbags tend to get thrown around a lot so washable with all this white is super important when I was choosing a yarn. I’ll be adding a liner too. And pockets .. I can not have a bag without inside pockets! For oh so long I’ve wanted to try the double hook Tunisian technique. I have Lily Chins dvd on it but she’s way over my head at this point! Super squares Saturday: Hobobag and Tunisian sampler squares

Granny square project!! Who loves squares projects?? So easy so versatile for so many different items. Recently in a Facebook group I saw they had started a square along project.. any kind of squares! Being primarily a crocheter I immediately think of the granny square but I don't feel like a granny square blanket... so I disregard starting anything but then I see someone making granny squares for a tote!!! And well,, I always want need a new bag! Perfect! I remembered some cute bags in magazines I have ( I'm hopelessly addicted to magazines!) and here it is. Happy Days & Hard Work!

Hope everyone had a fabulous New Years Eve! We had a very nice one... got all dressed up and went to the 5 course dinner event at Chez Liberty... SO GOOD! I even tried a little dish with 'sweetbreads' and had NO ideal what they were... but it was so good after I found out what they were I didn't even care! Now how many people out there know what they are??? Was I alone at not knowing??? Then we Had a bottle of bubbles... And then, I admit, came home at 11 and went to bed! I was asleep before 12!! and it makes me feel like an old fuddy duddy ! haha !! But who cares!
